Architecture at River Dunes
Homes and gathering spaces rooted in the principles of traditional coastal architecture shape the streets of River Dunes, timeless in their approach and created for today and generations to come.
River Dunes has received national recognition for its architecture and sustainable design. Working with the Master Builders, owners can select an architect and plan of their choosing, following our Architectural Guidelines. Homeowners have built plans by Historical Concepts, Alison Ramsey, Court Atkins Group, Chuck Dietze and Eric Moser. Homes under construction range from 400 – 4,000+ sqft and homesites range from 1/10 of an acre to 3+ acres.
The architectural details of River Dunes homes and community are a representation of its effort in creating a marriage between conservation and true coastal beauty. The architecture found in this charming village and its surrounding neighborhoods has been intentionally designed from start to finish. Working with Historical Concepts, a nationally-recognized firm, River Dunes has been transformed into a welcoming community of contemporary structures with comfort, luxury, and southern charm intertwined with touches of coastal design.
Inspired by the land, River Dunes welcomes the outdoors in, as a harmonious relationship between nature and manmade architecture. Simple character and inviting front porches with large windows provide a lifestyle reminiscent of old river towns and classic neighborhoods. Whether you’re at River Dunes for a short period of time or it’s become a permanent residence for you and your family, the homes embrace spectacular waterfront views and cherish the surrounding landscape with canopies of trees and plenty of space.
